DECEMBER 2013 EDITION

Well, another year gone by in a flash!  Didn't football season just start a few weeks ago? Has Christmas really come and gone? Wasn't I just celebrating my 50th birthday a while ago? "My how time flies when you are having fun", so they say! But, you know what? It has been fun! What a great adventure we are on. Sure, there have been some really tough times. There will most certainly be more. But, on balance, I feel truly blessed. I have my health. I have a beautiful wife and a great family. My family is united with a faith in Christ. As Scripture says in III John 4, "I have no greater joy than to know my children (and grandchildren) are walking in the truth.) I told someone recently that as my daughters, their husbands and my grandchildren are following Christ, everything else in life is "gravy" for me. I have a wonderful calling on my life to minister to men and their families and am blessed to have dear friends. I feel as though I am the "poster boy" for God's grace!

As for Net Work Ministries, this has been another great year! One of the more exciting things in ministry this year has been the group of men that meet on Friday mornings at 7:00 a.m. This group has been meeting together since 1995. This year the men have hosted a group of Wounded Warriors from all over the state for a day of golf and fun. This is the second year we have done this. What an inspiration these men and women have been to us.

Additionally, the men have donated their time and talents on several occasions this year to aid the House of Hope Project in Guatemala. They provided some of the capital and their business skills to assist a start-up business involving the mothers of children involved in the program. The business is called "Sewing into the Kingdom." With industrial type sewing machines, they are training women to become self-sufficient by learning to sew products for sale as well as doing contract sewing for companies like Wilson Sporting Goods. They also raised over $800 for Christmas boxes for the children.

My individual ministry with men continues as I meet with men to offer counsel and support on their journey as fathers, husbands, and, yes, even grandfathers.

All of this is because of friends like you who have caught the vision of what Net Work Ministries, with God's guidance, is trying to accomplish. Your prayers, words of wisdom and encouragement, as well as your financial support have made all this possible and I am so very grateful
